Imagine all of your favorite pieces and parts of breweries you’ve visited from across the county in one taproom. Now think about being there surrounded indoors and outside by live entertainment, warm-hearted people, four-legged friends and families. That puts you on a stool in Oakmont’s Local Remedy. The beer list features a wide variety of meticulously brewed choices, including noted hop-forward recipes with broad appeal. If each batch doesn’t meet their high standards, it won’t be offered to you. But the ones that meet their criteria are as friendly to your palette as the environment in the taproom.

The Story

There’s no better belief in the world than “Drink Beer. Be Good People.” This is the credo driving Local Remedy in Oakmont. As with all good things, the brewery started “local” with a small group of friends brewing their own beer. Many of them worked in the medical profession, including the brewery’s founder who started brewing in his basement. Hence, the “remedy” impetus behind the name. As the friends expanded into a full-fledged community, their passion grew into a joyous taproom experience. The idea of remedy has also evolved into a “Keep It Local Pledge” that sees 1% of sales given back to organizations in the community. Good people, indeed.
