A friendly, neighborhood brewery offering a little something for everyone. Twelve taps typically feature a couple hazy IPA’s, a fruited sour, a stout, a brown ale, a light pilsner, and a few others. Far from a big brewery atmosphere, Allegheny City focuses on being a cozy spot for friends to enjoy. Stop in for a beer and some laughs with the neighbors of the North Side, or grab a four-pack to go.
The vision for Allegheny City Brewing was born about 10 years ago when ACB’s three founders, each hailing from Pittsburgh, moved to Colorado. They fell in love with craft beer and the sense of community surrounding it. After a lot of research and home brewing, the trio moved back to Pittsburgh in 2013 and officially opened the brewery doors in 2016 on the North Side. Formerly known as Allegheny City, the name pays homage to their beloved neighborhood.
