An industrial, open-air space known for blasting good tunes. Since 2014 Hitchhiker has specialized in progressive and traditional style beers, everything from Pilsner to Smoothie Sours to Hazy IPAs. Guests come for the unique setting in a former Fort Pitt brewery boiler house and stay for the variety of beer. There is also a location in Mt. Lebanon great for drinking, enjoying the patio or taking a four-pack to go!
Hitchhiker was opened out of an interest in offering beer that is true to time-honored traditions and push the envelope in experimentation. Much like hitchhiking, the brewery was named after connecting random people through beer.
