The historic North Side building features plenty of indoor and outdoor space, including rooms for private banquet bookings, as well as 150-year-old lagering caves. Though best known for classic German lagers, Penn brews a wide variety of additional styles in house. Guests can expect to have a taste of award-winning beers when visiting, as Penn’s brews have won a total of 21 Great American Beer Festival® and World Beer Cup® medals. Enjoy a taste of Penn Brewery at its satellite location at the Pittsburgh International Airport, too.

The Story

Established in 1986, Penn Brewery is one of the oldest craft breweries in the U.S. It is located in the E&O Brewery Building, a historic landmark constructed by German immigrant brewers in the mid-19th century. The current ownership group has owned the brewery since 2009.
