The Story

Strange Roots Experimental Ales is the evolution of Draai Laag Brewing Company, which was dedicated solely to spontaneously fermented sour and wild beer. The name change reflects the brewery’s diversification and creative expansion into a wider range of beer styles, while remaining committed to locally foraged and sourced ingredients and unique brews created from scratch. Their focus on terroir yields unique vintages in many of their beers, tied to a specific time, place, and the passionate people who bring their mission to life.
