The Vibes

Trace is a brewery, taproom, cafe and event space located in Bloomfield. Trace Echo is their second location – a small cafe and bar in Uptown.
Their community-forward approach shines a spotlight on diverse voices in Pittsburgh; Trace hosts a high frequency of events that showcase and celebrate performing artists primarily in the LGBTQIA and BIPOC communities. The beverage selection at Trace is just as diverse as its staff and guests. Trace partners with Ghost Coffee Collab on full espresso service til 3pm daily and offers cocktails, seltzer, cider, wine and NA options at both locations.

In 2023, Trace was awarded a Brewbound ‘Rising Star’ Award and they were named Brewery of the Year by Inside Hook magazine.

The Story

The team at Trace has always dreamed of opening a brewery and community-forward taproom where folks from all walks of life can enjoy the company of friends, family, and neighbors. The name “Trace” is an abstract word and concept; we encourage people to interpret its meaning in whichever way they please. The design of the space was inspired by the previous uses of the building itself: brass & bronze foundry, photography development, paint manufacturing, and music venue. Guests will witness traces of these uses all throughout the building.
